Book 2 Reimagined: Dark Pursuit

Hey there, heroes!

This week, we're returning to the Book 2 Reimagined project! The quest North has been reimagined and renamed to Dark Pursuit!

With a solid lead on Konnan, Isiri is now able to narrow down the Professor's location... far to the north, deep in the Deadlands. Now, with your Atealan allies at your side, will Konnan's trail lead you to the Professor? Or a trap?

Also this week, we have a new cosmetic weapon available for purchase!

The Forgotten Skull Sword seems to be a relic of an unusual time... Maybe at one point it had even more skulls on it? You can find it for 300 Dragon Coins from the DC Cosmetics shop in the Book of Lore!

Also, Evolved PumpkinLord has had a small update...

• Creeping Roots and Draining Roots have had their old animations re-added, and now hit twice.
• Wicked Night Blade now also gives you +50 Bonus for 5 turns.
• EPL skills now have tooltips!

And this is all in preparation for a new Evolved PumpkinLord rework! When it's fully ready, the old PumpkinLord class will be retired, replaced by the current Evolved PumpkinLord class. And the reworked version will become Evolved PumpkinLord!

The new Evolved PumpkinLord will let you gather a class specific resource, Candy, with every hit, up to a maximum of 5. Once you have 5, you can choose to consume all of your candy to empower your next skill, improving its effects and/or damage. You can't gather candy on empowered skill turns, however, so you'll need to plan things out carefully. The Creeping Roots/Draining Roots mechanic will also be adjusted, with the effect from Draining Roots gaining extra duration the longer Creeping Roots is active. There are also other mechanics, like Endless Night immediately granting you a full bucket of candy! Currently, we have a version that is being tested and fine tuned, so hopefully, we'll be able to have it available soon!

But wait, there's more! "Verlyrus," you might be asking, "Mogloween is almost over! How will we access the new Evolved PumpkinLord?"

Well, besides the Armor Closet, we'll be introducing a new house item available year-round for gold, that will let you equip PumpkinLord and Evolved PumpkinLord! We're also working on figuring out a way to train the class outside of Mogloween, too (also accessible from the house item). Of course, if you have EPL fully trained already, you won't need to re-train it again.
