Upon the winds you will find a whisper of doom, "Grimskull is coming." We thought he was just something the Paladins thought up to scare the young Knights in training. The slight possibility he could be real sends a shiver down my spine.
The rumors say Grimskull is coming... but if the stories are true, it will not be this week. It will not be when you expect it. It could happen at any time, any place... all that you know is it WILL HAPPEN. When it does, it will happen in AdventureQuest Worlds.
Anoril is back at the Zoo! He's been having trouble with the elemental rune contianment system and needs your help in gathering up the monsters that have broken out!
Your reward for helping him will be the new Monster Master Cap! The two highest level versions of the cap are color custom to your armor as well! If you still want to get your hands on the classic souvenir helms, they're now with Maddy.
Sek Duat and the Sandsea! Next week will see our return to the Sandsea, as we catch up with Hansa and Sek Duat! You'll confront one of your greatest enemies in the darkness of the desert! Who will fight by your side? And who will you leave in the dust?
In celebration of Earth Day, Tomix has created a gorgeous TerraStag helm that is now available through a shop in your Book of Lore!
This helm will only be available for a week! So, if you want to channel your inner druid, check it out now!
Falconreach Zoo The newly rebuilt zoo was unveiled last Friday! We still have a few things to add, including the original souvenirs, maybe a break out quest or two (there are a few clever girls in a very protected part of the zoo...), and, of course, reintroducing our zookeeper, Anoril! So no need to stress about those things going rare!
Inside all of AE's work machines lives a monster. It gets hungry. So very, very hungry. It likes to eat new things, usually on Fridays (/coughBraughlmurk). This week, it struck early. It's victim, poor Book 3 Sek Duat.
Tomix was working on special animations for our decaying quest giver and, well... the monster in the machine crashed through and ate him. Which means Tomix's work for this week needs to be redone. So, after we hook up our SoulWeaver to our intravenous espresso machines... we're going to turn our attention to even more monsters!
Zoo monsters! We mentioned at the beginning of the week that the old Zoo needed to be rebuilt and Dracelix has been working on fresh backgrounds for it this week. While we hadn't really planned for it to be ready this week, we're also very glad that work has been started on it!
While the Zoo won't have any crazy, new monsters (there were lots of very creative suggestions for new things I saw) there will be lots of awesome and clever and familiar and rare and classic Book 1 and 2 DragonFable monsters for you to see. Maybe even a few too clever for captivity!
This week is already shaping up to be buuuuusy! There are new monsters to animated and code, cutscenes to be animated, maps to build, writing to get done, even more house items to add to the Sandsea shop (not to mention a whole other palatial house that is in the works for the coming weeks).
You will definitely get some beautiful new house items this week!
Zards and Bears and Paindeers! The Zoo in Book 1 southern Falconreach has been out of commission for a while. The entire area needs to be rebuilt! So, this is a good opportunity for you guys to let us know what new exhibits should be added?
The Book 3 Sandsea is ruled over by the rebels that overthrew SekDuat and the Rose. You'll find a cheerful, peaceful town, with shopkeepers, citizens and their children. Any bandits have been pushed out into the desert and surrounding ruins!
You'll find three quests in town, helms shops, weapons shops, a ring shop and a house shop! With lots more to come!
This week you get to a glimpse of Sek Duat's past before he became the scourged Light Lich of the Sandsea. He has a very sad story to tell you too.... in the end though, he wants you to go into his trap filled pyramid on a quest to deny your mutual enemy some very powerful artifacts. Will you be able to survive the incredibly dangerous hallways of his cavernous Palace though?
