The desert seems endless, especially with the unforgiving light of the sun beating down, sapping any and all moisture from your body. As the harsh winds blow across the dunes the sand is thrown into the air and it scours... breaking down once grand buildings into ruins. Hiding them. Entire towns, oases, groups of beings... lost in time, buried in sand.
Even in the face of this harsh environment, life continues on. Beaten down by sun, by sand, sacrificed for generations by the light magic of their ruler, the Sandsea preserveres. It fights back... with new allies.
But, as they start to shift the sands in search of SekDuat, what else might they uncover?
Kara SuLema now has your first quests for the Vind! Though the tasks might be deceptively simple, the message is what is important. Magic has the power to bring music and wonder if it is used properly... can you help remind the citizens who sit under the power and fanaticism of the Rose?
Tomix has worked incredibly hard on the cutscenes, written by Eukara Vox, for each of three quests this week! Each quest drops a cape created by Dracelix as well (though the drop shop at the end of each quest does have all three available)!
This week will see Kara SuLema, the leader of those gathered in Sulen'Eska, sending you out to gather supplies and then heading to nearby cities and town to help remind those that live there of the magic's beauty and usefulness.
Today is the last day to hunt for the treasure chests that hidden as drops in quests all over the game! The chests themselves will open this evening around 8pm, EST! Once the chests open, you will no longer be able to find them in quests but the DC shop will still have the base versions of the golden goodies*!
*The found versions and the 75 DC versions will have the same stats!
Chapter 6 of the Lucky Day Storybook is now live! This year has a simple quest, with you trying to stop those tricky Sneevilchaun's and their gilding of the monsters deep in Surewould! Make sure to explore the forest too, because you're not the only one trying to stop them! If you're starting to feel a little... slow, you might want to know who else is fighting in the forest and what they can do for you... ;)
Treasure Chests are also hidden as quest drops all over the game! These mysterious chests will open on Monday but, if you don't feel like joining in on the hunt, you can make your own luck and buy them in Chapter 6!
Note: More items will get into the gold and DC shops in Chapter 6 tonight! Just wanted to get you guys hunting....
In the depths of desert, one of your oldest, greatest foes lies in dust, dying, the source of his power shattered in your defense of Lore. As the power of Light slowly drains from his desiccated form... he's remembering. He's remembering his humanity, his oath as a Guardian and how he violated it in his quest for immortality. He's reaching out for help, for sanctuary against your common foe...
Even though he's been reduced to a husk of what he had once been, the Rose still seeks him out and you need to find him first.
On the 29th of March, Cinquefoil will send you into the Sandsea to face Sek Duat!
The Lucky Day Storybook is now live in your Book of Lore for you to replay through past years celebrations!
This year's release will be simpler, a quest and a treasure hunt, so that we can continue with Sulen'Eska next week but Dracelix has made some amazing things for you to hunt down! Are there any classic DF items you guys would like him to hit with the golden touch for you to hunt down?
Sulen'Eska is open! First, though, you have to prove yourself to the Vind by turning in 20 Rose Emblems. There are two new dungeons to gather them in though. Once you have the full city unlocked, you'll also be able to merge any leftover emblems in deadly poison weapons!
Tomix, Dracelix and Cronix have done an amazing job on the art for the town, items and NPCs! There's much more to come too, as Kara SuLema brings us into the fold of the Vind!
There are three new random quests for you to fight through this week, as well as a brand new monster from Cronix lurking in Betrubung Swamp! While the swamp itself is huge, you'll only be scratching the surface of it this week as you distract the Rose from their search for Sielu's friends. You'll also start collecting Rose Emblems... which I'm sure will be useful when you find others who fight against the Rose!
You can find the Betrubung Expedition through Seilu. The new ice and fire dungeons are through the portal on the path to the Book 3 Guardian Tower! The Frozen North and the Lava Tube resources will merge into new weapons from Sielu. There is also a new fiery helm available from him!
Tomix Tomix is now in southern Falconreach! He lurks by the portal to Ravenloss at night and has lots of new info about what might be going on down below.... He will also now provide the preview of Master SoulWeaver to DragonLords!
Suggestion Weapon A new suggestion weapon, the Esoterica, by Lupus The Wolf, has been added to the chest in the Rosewood as well!
